I took over the management with a new team on April 1, 2024, the 110th anniversary of Fujimori Kogyo.
On October 1, we adopted the new company name, ZACROS, which has been heralded as our brand name since 1994. The old name, Fujimori Kogyo has sustained its founding spirit for 110 years. It had also been the symbol of history and proof of trust. On this heritage, now we start a new era with the new company name. It is our declaration to evolve our business model and to become a more trustable company.
It is significant to advance ZACROS as our new company name. It expressed our vision and ambition to challenge the unrecognized needs of our customer and society, and to create epochal solutions. Please stay tuned on ZACROS!
The name ZACROS was created 30 years ago, in 1994. It is a brand name that was established in view of accelerating our global development.
The name “ZACROS” stands for “Uncharted Forefront,” with a combination of the letter “Z,” representing ultimate or uncharted, and the Greek word “ACRO,” meaning peak or forefront. This symbolizes our robust determination to look toward the future and explore new possibilities. Yahiko Fujimori, the founder, once said, “Unique solutions emerge through challenges to the difficult and the unknown.” We inherited Yahiko's words and his spirit and infused them into the new company name. Under our 2030 business plan, we aim for the unrecognized needs of our customers and society and advance our evolution as “the solution-creating company.”
We have also refined our logo to reflect the future vision of ZACROS. The shape symbolizes layers of films, our core technology, while the colors express the blue sky and the terra verde. Inheriting the fortune, we now reaffirm our enthusiasm for an “Uncharted Forefront” with a sharpened edge and our “Embracing Spirit” towards people, society and the Earth with warmer tones.
